The foundation has already identified several organizations it would like to support, Kullors said, but she declined to name those organizations. The Foundation states that it “will give priority to self-help, direct service and
organizations aimed at creating sustainable improvements in the material conditions of all blacks. ” The foundation also intends to support black lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender groups.

In its nearly six years of existence, the BLM Global Network has received contributions from major donors, including artists such as Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and Prince, who contributed to BLM just weeks black lives matter before his death in 2016. But unanswered questions about the transparency of spending and access to that money disappointed some of the organizers at the chain’s branches.
